Sandy Springs, Georgia – 3 Men Arrested in Child Predator Sting Operation Targeting Online Exploitation

A coordinated child predator sting in Sandy Springs has led to the arrest of three men accused of attempting to exploit a minor, according to the Sandy Springs Police Department.

What Happened

Authorities said the operation was conducted over several days as part of an ongoing effort to identify individuals seeking illegal contact with minors. Investigators posed as a 15-year-old online, engaging with suspects who allegedly believed they were arranging to meet a child for sexual acts in exchange for money.

Instead of meeting a minor, the suspects were met by undercover officers and taken into custody without incident.

Who Was Arrested

Police identified the three suspects as:

  • Antonio Thackston, 43, of Tuscumbia, Alabama
  • Jacob Holloway, 38, of Lawrenceville, Georgia
  • Derrell Green, 41, of McClellanville, South Carolina

All three men now face multiple serious charges, including trafficking a person for sexual servitude and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

Police Response and Ongoing Efforts

Officials emphasized that operations like this are part of a broader crackdown on human trafficking and child exploitation. Law enforcement agencies continue to use undercover techniques to identify and arrest individuals attempting to harm minors.

“This type of proactive work is critical to keeping children safe,” the department said in a statement.
