A motorcyclist died in a crash near Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township — but his body wasn’t found until more than two days later. Here’s what police uncovered.
What Happened
Pennsylvania State Police believe 36-year-old Milo Corll was riding his Harley-Davidson early Tuesday morning when he lost control on the ramp from Route 228 onto I-79 northbound — near the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. The crash is believed to have happened around 2 a.m.
His motorcycle veered off the ramp into a thick patch of saplings and foliage. Corll was thrown from the bike. The motorcycle continued forward before coming to rest on the southern side of the ramp.
He was not wearing a helmet and suffered a fatal injury.
Found 2 Days Later
Corll’s body wasn’t discovered until around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday — over 55 hours after the crash. The thick vegetation near the ramp likely kept him hidden from passing drivers.
A Pet ER Camera Cracked the Case
To pinpoint the exact time of the crash, troopers turned to an unlikely source — surveillance footage from VEG ER for Pets, a nearby animal emergency clinic. The video helped confirm both the date and time of the incident.
Who Responded
Cranberry Police Department, Cranberry Fire Company, PennDOT, and the Butler County Coroner all responded to the scene. No additional details have been released by police.
