Three Men Arrested After Major Drug Seizure in Winnipeg’s Archwood Area

Winnipeg police have taken three men into custody following a targeted drug trafficking investigation in the city’s Archwood neighbourhood.

The probe, conducted by the Guns & Gangs Unit, began earlier this month after officers received information about suspected illegal drug activity in the area. Investigators identified a residence in the 500 block of St. Catherine Street as a key location connected to the case, along with three individuals believed to be involved.

On March 12, police executed a search warrant at the property with assistance from specialized support units. A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene. Two additional suspects, aged 31 and 32, were apprehended at separate locations without any reported incidents.

During the search, officers recovered a significant quantity of illicit substances and cash. Seized items included approximately 2.5 kilograms of cocaine, around 100 Percocet tablets, and more than $19,000 in cash. Authorities also located equipment commonly associated with drug distribution, such as digital scales, packaging supplies, a money-counting machine, and electronic devices.

Police estimate the total street value of the confiscated drugs to exceed $90,000.

All three individuals are facing charges related to drug trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained through criminal activity. They have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
