Dadeville, Alabama — A coordinated law enforcement operation in Dadeville has led to the arrest of four local residents following a narcotics investigation that uncovered a significant quantity of illegal drugs, cash, weapons and vehicles.
The Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force, working alongside the Alexander City SRG team, executed a search warrant on Horseshoe Bend Road earlier today. Investigators report that the search resulted in the seizure of approximately 11.25 ounces of methamphetamine, 3 grams of marijuana, one ounce of GHB, and 17 unidentified pills. Authorities also recovered multiple items believed to be used in the distribution and consumption of illegal narcotics.
In addition to the drugs, officers confiscated $997 in cash, a .243 caliber rifle, a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle. Officials estimate the street value of the seized narcotics to exceed $8,000, stating that the operation removed a substantial amount of illegal substances from the community.

Crystal Mary Lackey, 39, of Dadeville
Charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
David Lamar Newsome, 52, of Dadeville
Charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lonnie Dwayne Davis, 49, of Dadeville
Charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Christopher E. Sward, 43, of Dadeville
Charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
All four individuals are currently facing serious felony charges as the investigation continues. Authorities have not released additional details regarding bond or court appearances at this time.
