The incident happened around 9:50 a.m. on April 22 along Interstate 80 near Rock Springs, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Early findings from the investigation point to driver inattention and fatigue as possible contributing factors in the crash. Authorities have not indicated whether any charges will be filed as the investigation continues.

The stretch of Interstate 80 where the crash occurred is known for heavy commercial traffic, making roadside stops especially dangerous. Officials continue to remind drivers to remain alert, especially when approaching stopped vehicles on highways.
