CUDAHY, Wis. — Police in Cudahy say two suspects are in custody following an armed robbery involving a teenager that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Cudahy Police Department, officers were called to the area of Kirkwood Avenue and Birchwood Drive, just east of Packard Avenue, around 2 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery involving a firearm.
A 14-year-old boy from Milwaukee told officers he was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to sell a pair of shoes valued at approximately $200. Police said the incident occurred during what was supposed to be a private transaction.
Cudahy police worked alongside the South Milwaukee Police Department to identify the suspects and the vehicle believed to be involved. Investigators determined that the suspect who carried out the armed robbery was known to the victim.
On Wednesday, South Milwaukee police located and arrested two suspects in connection with the case. Authorities recovered both the firearm allegedly used in the robbery and the stolen shoes.
Police identified the primary suspect as a 15-year-old from South Milwaukee. He was taken into custody and turned over to juvenile authorities. A second suspect, an 18-year-old South Milwaukee resident, was also arrested for allegedly assisting in the robbery and was transported to the Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not released additional details regarding potential charges beyond the arrests already made.
