The Mobile Police Department is asking for the public’s help after releasing surveillance images of a suspect connected to a robbery at a local business parking lot.
According to police, the incident occurred on Friday, Jan. 2, at approximately 3:25 p.m. in the parking lot of a Family Dollar located at 1354 Navco Road in Mobile.
Investigators said the suspect approached a victim in the parking lot and robbed the individual of money. Surveillance footage from the area captured images of the suspect, which police have now shared in hopes that someone will recognize the individual and provide information.
Authorities said the suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. No injuries were reported in connection with the robbery, and police have not released additional details about whether a weapon was used.
The Mobile Police Department emphasized that even small tips could be helpful in identifying and locating the suspect. Detectives are continuing to review surveillance footage and follow up on leads related to the case.
