TOLLAND, Conn. – A Tolland man was injured in a hit-and-run crash after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Mille Hill Road, according to state police. Authorities are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver who fled the scene.
The incident occurred on Mille Hill Road in the town of Tolland, a largely residential area. Investigators said the man was walking with his snowblower when he was hit by a passing car. The vehicle did not stop and instead continued driving away from the area.
Pedestrian Struck While Using Snowblower
State police reported that the man was walking along the roadway with his snowblower at the time of the crash. It remains unclear whether he was clearing snow from the road or moving equipment when the vehicle made contact with him.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the collision was reported. The injured man was transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment. Officials described his injuries as non-life-threatening, though the full extent of his condition has not been released.
