A late-night gathering in New River, Arizona, turned tragic early Sunday morning when a 20-year-old man was fatally shot during a party, leaving the community in shock and authorities searching for answers.
According to officials from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a home near 7th Avenue and New River Road just before 2:30 a.m. What they encountered was an active party scene — but the situation quickly escalated.
