The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. near Howard Street and Lehigh Avenue in Fairhill. Police officers who were already nearby reported hearing multiple gunshots and quickly responded to the scene.

A second victim, a 35-year-old man, was taken to the hospital’s Episcopal Campus with a gunshot wound to the head. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at 9:52 p.m.
