San Jose, California – A tense situation unfolded in San Jose on Thursday evening when a suspected carjacker was arrested after crashing a stolen vehicle into a dental office. The incident left both the suspect and victim injured, though authorities confirmed the injuries were not life-threatening.
According to the San Jose Police Department, officers were called to the area of Burdette Drive and King Road around 6:50 p.m. following reports of a disturbance involving a weapon.
What Happened
Police said the suspect approached multiple individuals in the area while armed with a box cutter. During the confrontation, the suspect attempted to steal a vehicle from a person who was loading items into the back.
Authorities reported that the suspect managed to grab the victim’s keys and quickly got into the vehicle. Despite attempts to stop him, he was able to drive away from the parking spot.
Crash Into Dental Office
Moments later, the situation escalated when the suspect lost control and drove straight into a dental clinic identified as KC Dental located on King Road.
The crash caused visible damage to the building and brought immediate attention from nearby residents and businesses.
Arrest and Charges
Officers responded swiftly and were able to take the suspect into custody at the scene. He was later booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
