A dramatic house fire in the Hollywood Hills sent thick black smoke billowing into the evening sky Monday — and left one firefighter injured while battling the flames.

The blaze broke out around 6:10 p.m. in the 1200 block of Hilldale Avenue, quickly drawing a massive emergency response. Neighbors watched as heavy smoke poured from the home, visible from blocks away, as crews rushed to contain the fast-moving fire.

Nearly 100 Firefighters Respond

Approximately 100 firefighters worked in coordinated teams to attack the flames from multiple angles. Aerial support captured the intense scene as crews moved swiftly to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties in the densely packed hillside neighborhood.

Thanks to their rapid response and aggressive firefighting tactics, crews were able to knock down the blaze in under an hour — preventing what could have been a far more devastating outcome.

Firefighter Suffers Burn Injury
