Officers with the Long Beach Police Department responded around 3:30 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 200 block of Pine Avenue, close to the bustling Pine Square shopping center.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All were transported to a nearby hospital. Tragically, one of the victims later succumbed to their injuries. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
