Kentucky Teen Arrested After Fatally Shooting 2 People During Bank Robbery, Officials Say

A Kentucky teenager is behind bars after allegedly killing two people inside a bank Thursday afternoon.

Braelin Weaver, 18, allegedly walked into U.S. Bank in Berea, Kentucky, just before 2 p.m. wearing a black mask and black gloves.

Authorities say he immediately opened fire, killing one person near the entrance. He then shot and killed a bank teller before attempting to take cash from multiple drawers.

Weaver fled the scene but was later taken into custody, according to court documents.

The two victims have not yet been publicly identified. The motive behind the deadly robbery remains under investigation.

Local residents and bank employees in the Berea area have been left shaken by the brazen midday attack.

Authorities have not yet confirmed how much, if any, money was taken during the robbery.
