Pedestrian Escapes Serious Injury After Vehicle Crashes Through Aldi Parking Lot

A pedestrian narrowly avoided serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle during a chaotic crash in a suburban Aldi parking lot Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in the 7900 block of Golf Road shortly before 11 a.m., when police received reports of a vehicle that had hit multiple parked cars and a pedestrian.

Authorities said the driver reportedly pulled through a parking space before colliding with a pedestrian and at least three parked vehicles. The crash left the pedestrian trapped beneath the vehicle, prompting an urgent rescue effort.

Firefighters arriving at the scene worked quickly to safely lift the vehicle and free the victim. Emergency crews used specialized lifting equipment and stabilization materials to prevent the car from shifting during the rescue.

According to fire officials, the operation was completed successfully, allowing paramedics to immediately begin treating the injured pedestrian.

Witnesses described hearing a loud crash before rushing outside to see several damaged vehicles and a person pinned underneath a black Mercedes. One bystander remained with the victim until first responders arrived.

Despite the frightening circumstances, authorities said the pedestrian appeared to have avoided life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the crash. The condition of the driver has not been released, and it remains unclear whether any charges will be filed.

Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact authorities.
