Philadelphia Shooting: 13-Year-Old Killed, Another Teen Injured in West Oak Lane

A quiet evening in West Oak Lane turned tragic Tuesday night after a shooting left one young teenager dead and another fighting to recover.

According to Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on the 7100 block of North 19th Street. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found two boys, just 13 and 14 years old, suffering from gunshot wounds.

The younger victim was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where doctors worked to save his life. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at 9:18 p.m. The 14-year-old was also taken to the same hospital. His current condition has not been publicly confirmed.

Earlier that same evening, another shooting in West Philadelphia claimed the life of a woman and injured two others, highlighting a troubling night of violence across the city.
