Raising Cane’s Plans Summer Launch in Fairbanks, Begins Manager Hiring Drive

The much-anticipated arrival of Raising Cane’s in Fairbanks is finally gaining momentum, as the brand has started hiring managers ahead of its expected summer opening.

A two-day hiring event is underway, with the company aiming to recruit between seven and ten managers, along with a few business support roles. According to brand leadership, building a strong management team is the first priority before onboarding a larger workforce. Around May, the restaurant plans to hire an additional 100 to 120 crew members from the local community.

The outlet, located at the corner of College Road and Illinois Street, has remained idle since early 2025 despite initial plans to open that same year. The delay came after internal restructuring. The location was originally developed under Panda Restaurant Group but later transitioned into a standalone regional entity known as Pacific Rim Cane’s.

Now, with organizational changes complete, preparations are back on track. Final steps include unpacking and inspecting equipment, as well as installing interior elements that reflect the local Fairbanks community. These touches are expected to give the restaurant a more personalized and regional feel.

If hiring progresses as planned, the company is targeting a mid-to-late summer opening, with August seen as the ideal timeline.

Known for its focused menu of chicken finger meals, fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw, Raising Cane’s is expected to bring both job opportunities and a new dining option to the Fairbanks area.
