Teen Woke Up to Find Her Sister Going Through Her Phone — Then Got Stabbed 10 Times

A Florida woman will spend no time in prison after stabbing her teenage sister nearly a dozen times — all because the teen caught her looking through her phone.

What Happened That Night

On Oct. 26, 2025, 15-year-old girl was napping on the living room couch at her family’s home in Cutler Bay, Florida.

When she woke up, she found her older sister, Lynn My Le, 26, scrolling through her phone.

The teen asked what she was doing — and reached out to take her phone back.

That’s when things turned violent.

“She Pleaded for Her Life”

Le grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her younger sister 10 times.

The teen ran toward the front door to escape. Le followed her and continued stabbing her in the back.

The teenager collapsed on the floor. According to court documents, she “pleaded for her life” before Le finally stopped — and then walked away, leaving her sister bleeding on the floor.

The 15-year-old was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The Sentence That Raised Eyebrows

Le was originally charged with attempted murder.

But on May 4, 2026, a judge convicted her of the lesser charge — aggravated battery — and dismissed the attempted murder charge entirely.

Her sentence: 180 days in jail and 7 years of probation.

Le is currently not in custody.

People Are Talking

Many are questioning how a woman who stabbed her sister 10 times walked away with no prison time.

The case has reignited debate about how domestic violence cases — especially those involving family members — are handled in the Florida court system.
