Queens, New York – A routine evening commute in Queens turned into a moment of fear and confusion after a 15-year-old boy was shot aboard a Manhattan-bound A train during rush hour on Monday.
According to the New York Police Department, the incident unfolded as the train approached the 80th Street station, shortly before 6 p.m. Authorities say the shooting followed an argument between individuals on the train, though the exact cause of the dispute remains unclear.
What Happened on the Train
Investigators believe tensions escalated quickly between passengers before gunfire broke out inside the subway car. When officers arrived at the station, they immediately provided aid to the injured teenager.
The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he is currently being treated and is expected to survive.
