LIVERMORE, CA — A 19-year-old Livermore resident was taken into custody Wednesday night after police uncovered a significant quantity of narcotics, illegal fireworks, vaping products and cash during a search of a local home.
According to authorities, the Livermore Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit executed a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence on North I Street. During the operation, officers reported discovering multiple controlled substances and prohibited items packaged for distribution.
Investigators said they seized nearly three ounces of cocaine, close to two ounces of psilocybin, and approximately half an ounce of methamphetamine. In addition, officers recovered about 1.5 pounds of cannabis.
Police also located more than 100 flavored vaping devices, along with over 100 cannabis vape cartridges and edible products. A particularly concerning find was more than 200 pounds of illegal fireworks stored inside the residence, posing potential safety risks to the surrounding neighborhood.
Authorities reported confiscating more than $3,000 in cash believed to be connected to the alleged illegal activity.
Juan Carlos Cruz, 19, was arrested at the scene and faces multiple charges, including possession of narcotics for sale and unlawful possession of a large quantity of illegal fireworks. The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to review evidence collected during the search.
