Police Probe New Home Burglary in Valley Glen Amid String of Break-Ins

San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles — A fresh burglary incident in the San Fernando Valley has raised concerns among residents, coming just a day after multiple nearby homes were targeted. Authorities are now investigating whether these crimes could be part of a broader pattern, though no official link has been confirmed so far.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a reported burglary around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 6800 block of Vanscoy Avenue in Valley Glen. When police arrived at the scene, they initially called for backup, suspecting the burglars might still be nearby. However, it was soon determined that the suspects had already fled the area.

Officials confirmed that no one was home during the time of the incident. At this stage, investigators are still working to determine whether anything was stolen from the property. The case remains under active investigation.

This latest break-in follows two similar incidents reported Tuesday night in the neighboring areas of Valley Glen and Valley Village. In those cases, surveillance footage captured two individuals leaving one of the homes in a dark-colored vehicle. At another property, video showed a man appearing to scout houses before entering.

The burglars in Tuesday’s incidents caused visible damage, shattering sliding glass doors and windows to gain entry. In one case, security cameras were reportedly disabled, suggesting a level of planning. Like Wednesday’s incident, no residents were present during those break-ins, and the extent of stolen property remains unclear.

Police have not yet confirmed whether the same suspects are responsible for all three incidents, but the close timing and proximity have heightened concern in the community. Residents are being urged to stay alert, review their home security systems, and report any suspicious activity.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement officials say additional updates will be shared once more information becomes available.
