According to Fitchburg police, the incident was reported around 2:51 p.m. at an apartment located near Willow Street and Main Street. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he remained in critical condition as of Wednesday night.
