No arrests have been made. A homicide investigation is now underway, and detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.

This wasn’t the only shooting in Baltimore this weekend.

On Friday night, a 16-year-old was shot in the 4300 block of Seidel Avenue in Northeast Baltimore and walked into a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. Just an hour later, a 26-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after being shot on Myrtle Avenue in West Baltimore — he is expected to survive.

Three shootings. One weekend. One city. While Baltimore’s overall homicide numbers are trending downward compared to last year — 37 homicides in 2026 vs. 46 at this point in 2025 — every number behind those statistics is a real person with a family, a story, and a future that was taken too soon.

West Baltimore continues to bear the heaviest burden. Community leaders and residents have long called for more resources, mental health support, and economic investment in neighborhoods where violence persists.

The investigation is ongoing. No suspect has been named publicly.
