Amber Alert issued for missing 4-year-old girl last seen in Los Angeles — suspect identified

LOS ANGELES, California — A 4-year-old girl is missing, an Amber Alert is active, and investigators are asking the public for help finding her before it is too late.

The California Highway Patrol activated the alert Monday evening for Daleza Fregoso, a young child believed to have been abducted in Los Angeles County.

Authorities say the suspect is 40-year-old Ruben Fregoso.

The two were last seen together at around 4 a.m. on May 24, 2026, near the intersection of Alsace Ave. and Ferndale St. in Los Angeles.

What Daleza Looks Like

Daleza has black hair and brown eyes. She is 3 feet tall and weighs 45 pounds.

If you see a young girl matching this description, do not hesitate — call 911 immediately.

The Vehicle Investigators Are Tracking

Authorities believe Daleza and the suspect may be traveling in a white 2019 Land Rover Discovery.

The California license plate number is 9DAW715.

If you spot this vehicle anywhere — on a highway, in a parking lot, or on a side street — contact law enforcement right away. Do not approach the vehicle on your own.

How You Can Help Right Now

You do not have to be in Los Angeles to make a difference.

Share this alert with anyone you know in the area. Post it on your social media. Show the license plate number to a neighbor.

Amber Alerts work because communities pay attention. The more eyes watching for that white Land Rover, the better Daleza’s chances of coming home safe.

If you have any information about Daleza’s whereabouts or the suspect’s location, call 911 immediately or contact your local law enforcement agency.

Do not wait. Every minute matters.

If you are in the Los Angeles area and see anything that matches this description, please share this article and call 911 right away. Leave a comment below if you have seen anything — your tip could save a child’s life.
