A Des Moines woman is facing serious felony drug charges after a late-night traffic stop in Indianola last week.
What Happened
Jaime Sue Hockett, 48, was pulled over at approximately 11:44 p.m. on Friday, April 24th, on Highway 65/69 in Indianola after officers observed her vehicle traveling without registration plates.
What Officers Found
During the stop, officers noticed signs of impairment — including slurred speech and lethargic movements. A K9 unit was called to the scene and alerted to narcotics in the vehicle.
A search uncovered approximately 7.4 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Charges Filed
Hockett now faces multiple charges including:
- Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine (Class B Felony)
- Operating while under the influence
- Tax stamp violation
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
What’s Next
Hockett was booked into Warren County Jail. A preliminary hearing is set for May 4th at 9 a.m. Her cash bond has been set at $110,000.
