Wallingford, Connecticut — A routine traffic stop in Wallingford led to the arrest of four individuals on drug-related charges Monday, according to the Wallingford Police Department. Authorities say the arrests followed a suspected narcotics transaction observed by officers earlier in the day.
What Happened
Police reported that officers initially noticed what appeared to be a drug exchange involving several individuals. Shortly after, the suspects left the area in a vehicle, prompting officers to begin tracking their movement.
With assistance from a K-9 unit, the vehicle was later located near South Curtis Street and Yale Avenue. Officers then initiated a traffic stop, leading to further investigation.
Arrests and Investigation
The driver and three passengers were identified as Kimberlee Russo, Heriberto Lebron, Alicia Roodenburg, and Elijah Lebron. All four were taken into custody at the scene.
During the search, officers—assisted by K-9 Sevro—reportedly found narcotics, controlled substances, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and on the individuals.
Authorities also stated that Elijah Lebron was found carrying a BB gun that closely resembled a real firearm, which led to additional charges.
Charges and Court Dates
All four individuals now face drug-related charges. Elijah Lebron faces additional counts, including carrying a dangerous weapon and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
- Heriberto Lebron and Alicia Roodenburg were released on summons and are scheduled to appear in court on May 5 and May 4, respectively.
- Kimberlee Russo was released after posting a $2,500 bond and is due in court on May 4.
- Elijah Lebron remains in custody on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 5.
