A deadly shooting in Koreatown has left one man dead, with authorities now searching for two suspects who fled the scene on electric scooters, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of 8th Street and South Ardmore Avenue in Los Angeles. Officers responding to reports of gunfire discovered a man at the location who had been fatally shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification of family members.

Investigators say two male suspects were seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting, riding away on e-scooters. As of now, no detailed descriptions of the suspects have been made public, making the search more challenging.

The unusual use of electric scooters as a getaway method has drawn attention, highlighting how suspects may be using easily accessible urban transportation to quickly leave crime scenes.
