Lincoln Nanny Arrested After Alleged Child Abuse Incident at Local Park

Lincoln, California: A 41-year-old nanny has been arrested following allegations of child abuse at a neighborhood park earlier this week, according to local authorities.

Police responded to a report on Monday at Markham Ravine Park after witnesses claimed they saw a woman physically assaulting a young child. According to officials, a bystander recorded part of the incident and shared the footage with investigators, helping officers quickly identify the suspect.

Two witnesses reportedly followed the woman to a residence in Lincoln, providing officers with crucial information that led to her arrest. The suspect, identified as Suzanna Buhler, was taken into custody on felony child abuse charges.

Authorities stated that the child had visible injuries consistent with the alleged assault. The child is now safe and back in the care of family members.

The child’s mother said she had hired Buhler earlier this year through an online caregiving platform to look after her nearly 2-year-old daughter. She described disturbing details of what allegedly occurred at the park, claiming her daughter was pushed down a slide, punched in the stomach, and slapped.

A landscaper working nearby reportedly heard the child crying and began recording the incident, which later became key evidence in the case.

Police also noted that the suspect promoted nanny services across several online platforms and may have worked with other families. Investigators are urging anyone who may have hired or interacted with the suspect for childcare services to come forward with information.

The investigation remains ongoing.
