Major Drug Bust in Hagerstown Leads to Three Arrests on Cannon Avenue

A coordinated narcotics operation in Hagerstown resulted in three arrests Tuesday, March 17, 2026, following the execution of a search and seizure warrant in the 200 block of North Cannon Avenue.

The operation was led by the Washington County Narcotics Task Force as part of an ongoing drug investigation. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted, including the Washington County Special Response Team, Hagerstown Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police, and Homeland Security.

During the search, investigators reported seizing a significant quantity of suspected illegal substances. Authorities recovered 295 gelatin capsules believed to contain fentanyl with a combined weight of approximately 157.7 grams. In addition, officers located 41.2 grams of suspected cocaine, 113 grams of marijuana, and 9.3 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms. Law enforcement also confiscated $1,477 in cash believed to be connected to drug distribution activity.

Kevin Harris, 38, of Hagerstown, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center. He faces charges including possession with intent to distribute a narcotic, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not cannabis, and possession with intent to distribute cannabis.

Chatia Harrison, 40, also of Hagerstown, was arrested at the scene and transported to the same detention facility. She has been charged with possession with intent to distribute a narcotic, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not cannabis, possession with intent to distribute cannabis, and maintaining a common nuisance for distributing controlled dangerous substances.

Tayvon Dotson, 19, of Hagerstown, was likewise arrested and booked into the Washington County Detention Center. His charges include possession of a large amount of a controlled dangerous substance not cannabis, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, two counts of possession with intent to distribute a narcotic, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not cannabis.

The investigation remains ongoing. All three individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
