Waco, Texas: A 33-year-old man from Waco has been arrested and charged following serious allegations involving a minor, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities identified the accused as Domiro L. Vences, who was taken into custody on Sunday. He was later released from the McLennan County Jail after posting a $100,000 bond. The charge filed against him is indecency with a child by contact, which is considered a second-degree felony under Texas law.
According to an arrest affidavit from the Waco Police Department, the case began after allegations involving a 14-year-old girl were brought forward. Investigators stated that the claims were initially disclosed to an outcry witness several months before being formally reported to authorities, which eventually led to an official investigation involving both police and Child Protective Services.
As part of the investigation, the minor underwent a forensic interview at the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children. During the interview, she alleged that Vences engaged in inappropriate physical contact, including touching her in a sexual manner. The affidavit also states that the accused allegedly told the girl not to disclose the incident to anyone.
Police reported that Vences denied the accusations when questioned. However, investigators noted that his statements appeared inconsistent with the evidence gathered during the investigation and that he did not provide a reasonable explanation addressing the claims.
Officials have not released further details about the relationship between the accused and the minor. The identity of the outcry witness has also not been disclosed.
Under Texas law, indecency with a child by contact carries severe penalties, including a possible prison sentence of up to 20 years if convicted.
The case remains under investigation, and authorities have indicated that further legal proceedings will determine the outcome.
