Missing Woman Sparks Urgent Search in Susquehanna County, Last Seen Leaving Lenox Township Home

Lenox Township, Pennsylvania — Authorities are actively searching for a missing 42-year-old woman who was last seen leaving her home in Susquehanna County earlier this week, raising concerns for her safety.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop R at Gibson Barracks, Deanna Kathleen Stoddard was last seen at her residence in Lenox Township on Sunday, April 6. Investigators believe she left the home on foot sometime between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Monday, April 7, heading in an unknown direction.

Stoddard is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. She has shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes. While her exact clothing at the time is unknown, authorities say she is often seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, frequently with the hood up.

Police are particularly concerned for her well-being, noting she may be experiencing severe mental health distress, including symptoms such as psychosis and paranoid delusions. Officials also confirmed that she does not have access to a vehicle and may still be traveling on foot.

Search efforts are ongoing across Lenox Township and nearby rural areas, where dense woods and limited visibility are making the operation more challenging. Residents, commuters, and anyone traveling through the area are being asked to stay alert.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Pennsylvania State Police at Gibson Barracks at 570-465-3154 or submit tips anonymously by calling 1-800-472-8477.
