Police Investigate Animal Cruelty After Dog Thrown From Moving Car in Bucks County

BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. — Police in Bucks County are demanding answers after a disturbing case of alleged animal cruelty involving a dog thrown from a moving vehicle earlier this week.

According to the Tullytown Police Department, the incident occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 6, along Old Bristol Pike. Investigators say a white dog was tossed from a moving car and left behind on the roadway, prompting an immediate investigation.

Authorities described the act as criminal animal cruelty and said they are actively working to identify the person or persons responsible. Police released an image of the dog on social media in hopes that someone might recognize the animal or recall seeing the vehicle involved. In the photo, the dog appears to have its left ear clipped, a detail investigators believe could help with identification.

The dog was recovered safely and is now receiving care and medical attention from the Bucks County SPCA. Officials have not released information about the dog’s condition beyond confirming it is safe and under professional care.

Police emphasized that abandoning an animal in this manner is a serious offense under Pennsylvania law and said charges will be pursued once a suspect is identified.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, recognized the dog, or has information about the vehicle involved to come forward. Tips from the public could play a crucial role in holding those responsible accountable.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Crichton of the Tullytown Police Department directly at [email protected]. Authorities noted that even small details could help advance the investigation.

The case remains under active investigation.
