First Shooting in Knoxville Neighborhood
The first incident took place around 6:15 p.m. in the Knoxville neighborhood. Police responded to reports of gunfire along Suncrest Street, where they discovered a man in his 30s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
According to officials, three individuals believed to be involved in the shooting fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including any possible motive and whether the suspects were known to the victim.
Second Shooting Reported in Perry South
Later that evening, at approximately 8:45 p.m., police were dispatched to Wilson Avenue in the Perry South neighborhood following a ShotSpotter alert indicating multiple rounds fired—reportedly about 18 shots.
Upon arrival, officers located a second victim, a man who had also sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital and remains in critical condition. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding potential suspects or the events leading up to the shooting.

Detectives from the Pittsburgh Police Bureau’s Violent Crime Unit are actively investigating both incidents. At this time, it is unclear whether the shootings are connected.
