A man was shot and killed late Thursday night on the southwest side of Indianapolis, leaving residents in the area shaken.
The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. near the 4700 block of Leisure Manor, close to South Lynhurst Drive and West Troy Avenue. Officers arrived to find an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite initial efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have detained one person in connection with the shooting, but no information about a motive or suspect has been officially released yet.
