They Were Caught on Camera — So Why Haven't They Been Caught?

Nine cars. Six broken windows. Fingerprint evidence. Yet two masked men are still out there — and police are now asking you for help.

Pembroke Park police are hunting two masked men tied to at least nine car break-ins — and they need the public’s help to find them.

The most recent crimes happened just after midnight at Pembroke Villas Apartments. By morning, shattered glass still covered the parking lot. Six cars had broken windows at that location alone.

Surveillance video shows two men dressed in all black, faces covered, moving through the complex and peering into parked vehicles.

“Broken everything, the electronics. The car is not on again, not starting.” — Susana Alvarez, resident

One resident’s daughter had to replace her entire car earlier this year after a similar break-in destroyed it beyond repair.

Neighbors say this is not new. Many have already installed security cameras — but the cameras did not stop the suspects this time.

Fingerprints recovered from the scene link the two men to a total of nine vehicle burglaries across the neighborhood.
