Miami-Dade, Florida — A quiet afternoon in northwest Miami-Dade turned chaotic on Thursday when a shooting left three men injured and another in custody, according to officials.
The incident unfolded shortly after 2 p.m. near the 2100 block of Northwest 75th Street, a residential area where neighbors say the sound of gunfire shattered the normal routine of the day.
What Happened
Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of multiple shots fired. When they arrived, they found three men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency crews from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported all three victims to a nearby hospital under trauma alert conditions.
Officials confirmed that two of the victims are in critical condition, while the third remains stable.
Suspect Detained, Weapons Recovered
Authorities detained a fourth man at the scene. Investigators also recovered multiple firearms, though it remains unclear who was responsible for the shooting.
Detective Argemis Colome said the situation is still under investigation, and officers are working to determine whether those involved were victims, suspects, or both.

Witness Describes Terrifying Moments
A local resident, Jake Gardner, described hearing around a dozen gunshots while inside his home.
He said he looked outside and saw a man holding a handgun and running across a nearby field before deputies arrived.
Gardner began recording on his phone as law enforcement pursued the individual. He later saw officers place a firearm on the hood of a patrol vehicle.
Heavy Police Presence and Community Impact
Aerial footage showed a significant police presence as investigators secured the area and collected evidence. A vehicle, believed to be a Tesla, was seen at the scene with what appeared to be bullet damage.
Nearby Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials confirmed that Lillie C. Evans Elementary School was placed on lockdown as a precaution during the incident. The lockdown was later lifted once authorities deemed the area safe.
