A driver was killed Tuesday evening following a solo-vehicle crash near an Interstate 580 offramp in Livermore, according to authorities.
The incident occurred when the vehicle was traveling westbound on I-580 and reportedly veered off the roadway while approaching the Isabel Avenue exit. The vehicle overturned multiple times before coming to a stop.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, but the driver was pronounced dead on site. Officials confirmed that no other occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Preliminary information suggests speed may have been a contributing factor, and investigators believe the driver may have been unable to safely navigate the offramp.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident. Authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
