Texas Driver Arrested After Vehicle Slams Into Stephenville Home, Two Killed in Early-Morning Crash

Stephenville, Texas: A tragic early-morning crash has left a woman and a child dead after a vehicle plowed into a residential home in Stephenville, authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Ollie Street, a neighborhood located roughly an hour southwest of Fort Worth. According to police, a vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed directly into a house, causing significant damage and multiple injuries.

Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene and located several injured individuals inside and around the residence. Victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, a woman and a young boy were pronounced dead. Officials have not released additional details regarding the condition of other injured individuals.

The driver, identified as Gracie Yates, was taken into custody at the scene. She has been charged with two counts of criminally negligent homicide. Law enforcement officials stated that the investigation remains active as they work to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.

Authorities have not yet released further information regarding possible contributing factors.
