A tragic crash near Rosenberg has left three people dead and two others seriously injured, in what authorities describe as a preventable incident involving impaired driving.
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on the morning of March 15 along US-90. A family of five was traveling eastbound in a Hyundai Santa Fe when a Toyota Tacoma crossed the grassy median and collided head-on with their vehicle.
Officials confirmed that 18-year-old Temiloluwa Virtue Alu, who was driving the family’s car, along with 44-year-old Ebenezer Idunuoluwa Delight and 17-year-old Isaac Oluwadamilola Alabi, died at the scene. Two younger passengers—a 14-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy—sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities later arrested Juan Manuel Narvaez Yepez, 20, on April 10. He faces three counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault. He was initially hospitalized following the crash before being taken into custody.
Sheriff Eric Fagan called the incident a “heartbreaking reminder” of the consequences of driving under the influence, urging people to make safer choices behind the wheel.
The case remains under investigation, as a grieving family continues to cope with an unimaginable loss.
