Authorities have taken a suspect into custody following a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Camarillo, according to local officials.
Police responded to reports of gunfire around 9:45 p.m. in the 2200 block of Ventura Boulevard. Deputies arriving at the scene found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders from the Ventura County Fire Department provided immediate medical assistance before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital.
Despite efforts to save him, the man later died from his injuries.
Investigators quickly identified a suspect connected to the case. The individual was taken into custody without incident, though authorities have not yet released the suspect’s identity.
