California Mother of Two Found Dead in Twentynine Palms Garage; Father Arrested on Murder Charges

A 34-year-old woman was found dead inside her Twentynine Palms home last week after deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle, authorities confirmed.

The incident unfolded on Friday, March 13, at approximately 8 a.m., when deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 6500 block of Adobe Road to conduct a vehicle check. Officials reported that a Toyota Tacoma was parked in the area and blocking a gate at a local fire department facility.

While looking into the situation, deputies were directed to a nearby residence located in the 74900 block of Aladdin Drive.

Inside the home, deputies discovered two young children alone in the main residence. During a subsequent search of the property, authorities located the children’s mother, identified as 34-year-old Jessica Phillips, deceased inside the garage.

Investigators later located the children’s father, Isaac Matthew Angel, at around 10:40 a.m. near the intersection of Sunrise Drive and Araby Avenue. Following further investigation, detectives determined that Angel was responsible for Phillips’ death.

He was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of murder. Authorities confirmed that he remains jailed without bail as the investigation continues.

Officials are urging anyone with additional information about the case to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail at 909-890-4904.
