Sherman Way & Sepulveda Blvd, Van Nuy – Apedestrian is dead and a driver is on the run after a brazen hit-and-run crash shook a busy Van Nuys intersection late Monday night — and police are still looking for the person responsible.
The crash happened at around 10:05 p.m. near the corner of Sherman Way and Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers arrived to find the pedestrian already dead at the scene.

Aerial footage from the scene showed a large stretch of the street blocked off by police tape near a nearby McDonald’s restaurant. A white canopy covered the spot where the victim’s body was found.
