Freeze Warning Issued for All of Maryland Tonight — Temps Could Drop to 20s Before Spring Weekend

Maryland residents should prepare for a sharp temperature drop tonight as a Freeze Warning takes effect across the entire state.

Starting at midnight and lasting until 9 a.m. Wednesday, temperatures are expected to plunge into the mid and upper 20s outside the Baltimore Beltway — with wind chills dropping into the upper teens across northern Maryland.

Gardeners are being urged to act fast — sensitive plants need to be covered or moved indoors before tonight.

Wednesday morning will bring one of the coldest nights of the late season, but relief is coming. Afternoon temps will climb back into the upper 40s and lower 50s with plenty of sunshine.
