VANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A Henderson man is sitting in jail without bond after a major multi-agency drug operation uncovered a significant stash of narcotics, a firearm, and thousands in cash at a Vance County home.
On May 14, agents from the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, Vance County Sheriff’s Office, Henderson Police Department, and the ATF served a search warrant at a residence on the 300 block of Little Mill Road.
What they found inside was substantial.
Officers seized 850 dosage units of heroin, 84 grams of fentanyl M30 pills, a semi-automatic weapon, $5,100 in cash, and multiple items used in drug manufacturing.
Ta’Shawn Ty’Quail Baskerville was arrested at the scene and hit with a lengthy list of charges, including:
- 2 counts of Trafficking Heroin
- 2 counts of Trafficking Fentanyl
- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Heroin
- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Fentanyl
- Manufacture of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Maintaining a Dwelling Place for a Controlled Substance
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of Marijuana (up to ½ oz.)
Baskerville is currently being held at the Vance County Detention Center without bond.
The investigation was a joint effort across multiple law enforcement agencies, signaling a continued push to crack down on drug trafficking operations in the region.
