'I Heard a Loud Thud': Uncle Makes Horrific Discovery in Shed — Teen Allegedly Attacked by Own Brother

A California man has pleaded guilty to the brutal killing of his 15-year-old half-brother — a disabled teen with cerebral palsy — inside a shed behind their family home.

Zuberi Sharp, 26, admitted to second-degree murder in the death of Zayde Koehohou, who was killed on December 5, 2024, in Newbury Park, California.

The boys’ uncle walked to the shed to check on them when he heard a loud thud. What he found inside left the family shattered.

Sharp was found standing over his younger brother holding a pickaxe. Before deputies arrived, Sharp fled — and was later found naked at a nearby high school, still carrying the weapon.

Zayde’s mother, Jante, arrived on scene and was found cradling her dying son. Zayde, who had cerebral palsy, suffered severe head wounds and died before reaching the hospital.

What makes this case even more disturbing is Sharp’s background — and what happened just hours before the attack that nobody could have predicted.
