LAUDERHILL, Fla. — A targeted narcotics investigation in Lauderhill resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old man and the seizure of drugs, firearms, and a large amount of cash over the weekend.
According to authorities, officers took Christopher Wolverton into custody Saturday night following what officials described as a lengthy investigation into suspected drug activity. He has been charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell.
During the operation, police recovered more than 600 grams of marijuana. Investigators also confiscated five firearms and over $70,000 in cash believed to be connected to illegal sales.
Officials have not released additional details about whether more arrests are expected, but confirmed that the investigation had been ongoing prior to the weekend operation.
The case remains under active review as authorities continue examining the evidence collected during the bust.
