Lindsie Chrisley arrested on DUI charges days after her parents received a presidential pardon

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Georgia — Lindsie Chrisley is back in the headlines — and not for anything good.

The eldest daughter of Chrisley Knows Best stars Todd and Julie Chrisley was arrested Sunday in Cherokee County, Georgia, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

She was taken into custody on May 24.

What She Was Charged With

Authorities charged Lindsie with five offenses: DUI, reckless driving, speeding, improper passing, and attempting to elude police.

She was released the same day after being granted a $5,961 bond.

What Lindsie Says Happened

Lindsie is not staying quiet.

She spoke out after her release and said she plans to fight every charge. According to her account, the incident began when she attempted to pass another vehicle on a two-lane road.

Authorities have not released additional details on what led to her arrest or what prompted the eluding charge.

The Chrisley Family’s Turbulent Recent History

This arrest lands at an already complicated moment for the Chrisley family.

In 2022, Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted in federal court on bank fraud and tax evasion charges. Both were sentenced to prison.

Then in 2025, the couple received presidential pardons from President Trump — a move that brought the family back into the national spotlight almost overnight.

Lindsie’s relationship with her parents has long been strained. She has been notably estranged from Todd and Julie for years and faced accusations that she cooperated with federal investigators during their fraud case — allegations that deepened the divide within the family.

The Show That Made Them Famous

The Chrisleys rose to fame through Chrisley Knows Best, a USA Network reality series that debuted in 2014.

The show followed the family’s lavish lifestyle in Georgia, with Todd Chrisley playing the role of a strict but comedic patriarch overseeing his close-knit — and often chaotic — household.

What once looked like a picture-perfect family on screen has since become one of reality television’s most dramatic real-life stories.
