Mom and Baby Rushed to Hospital After Car Slams Into Indianapolis Apartment Complex — Here's What We Know

A mother and her 1-year-old baby were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after their car crashed directly into an apartment building on Indianapolis’s south side — leaving shaken neighbors and many unanswered questions.

The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Parc Bordeaux apartments, located in the 4900 block of Rue Vallee.

According to officials, the crash involved a woman who drove her vehicle into the exterior of the apartment complex. Emergency crews arrived quickly and transported both the mother and her 1-year-old child to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Fortunately, neither the mother nor the child suffered life-threatening injuries, fire department officials confirmed. The extent of damage to the apartment building has not yet been disclosed.
