Valparaiso Assault: Four Portage Residents Arrested After Brutal Robbery Leaves Victim Nearly Unconscious

A violent robbery in Valparaiso has led to the arrest of four young residents from Portage, after authorities say two victims were left injured and covered in blood following a coordinated attack.

Police identified the suspects as Maurice Martell Gillen Jr. (19), Antoine Cory Jolly (19), Kimia Sandriana Danae Green (22), and Myckal Vernell Diangelo Meyers (21).

According to court records, the incident occurred on April 9, 2026, around 7:59 p.m. in a residential area on Lahonda Drive. Investigators say the suspects lured one of the victims through a meetup plan, initially asking him to gather at a nearby Burger King. From there, the situation quickly escalated.

Authorities allege the group followed the victim and then attacked him near the intersection of Lahonda Drive and Baltimore Street. The assault reportedly involved repeated punches, kicks, and possibly a crowbar. The victim was left lying on a lawn, severely injured and nearly unconscious before being taken for medical treatment.

A second victim was also assaulted during the incident, suffering a visible injury to the chin that caused significant bleeding.

Police say the suspects stole a blue iPhone 16 and three house keys before fleeing the scene.

All four individuals are currently being held at Porter County Jail and face multiple charges, including felony robbery and battery. The investigation remains ongoing.
