A 54-year-old South Carolina man is behind bars after allegedly kidnapping, drugging, and sexually assaulting a minor he contacted through the internet.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded after a minor left home on the night of April 23. Family members provided a vehicle description, which helped deputies locate the suspect.
Who Is the Suspect?
Robert Eugene Hall, 54, was found with the minor after allegedly convincing them to leave home. Investigators say Hall had been communicating with the minor online before the incident.
What Are the Charges?
Hall faces multiple serious charges including:
— Criminal sexual conduct with a minor (multiple counts)
— Kidnapping
— Drugging a minor
— Possession and manufacture of meth
— Cruelty to children
— Exposing another to HIV
Hall was denied bond and remains in custody.
